Here is a useful link to MMS where a list of deepwater Oil and Natural Gas in the gulf of Mexico can be found. The table lists the nicknames of announced oil and natural gas deepwater discoveries and fields for active leases in the Gulf of Mexico. Wells are listed as discoveries until the lease on which they are drilled qualifies under MMS regulations as capable of producing in paying quantities. These new producible leases are then designated as a new field or assigned to an existing field. This listing of nicknames provides the Operator, the location (lease area and block), and water depth.
